Some people might look at this work and say "What the fuck is wrong with this guy!" so I figured I'd take a second and "Let You All In On The Joke".

I've always loved the rock and roll poster art. Coop, Kozik, Hess Their posters are really cool and distinct, I thought that I'd really love doing that type of work, problem is, I'm notoriously bad at self promotion.

So my idea was to create these poster and really push the bounds of taste and the idea of "Sleazy Rock Poster Art" Sex and rock and roll are like vodka and orange juice, they just mix really well. So I wanted to take things to a whole new level and really go over board. I did a few "normal ones" that are sprinkled throughout... ok, 4, there's exactly 4, see if you can find them ;)

The typography. Look, I've never clammed to be a great typographer, but there's at least some thought to what I'm doing and why. I essential created a set using different fonts that had a quality I was looking for in this project...

Hey Fuck Off, I "almost" used Comic Sans on ALL of them out of shear spite... but it truly does suck a$$ :( I think one of these actually does have comics sans used in it, see if you can find it ):

There's allot more going on here then what's on the surface... in many ways this body of work is more a backlash to the last 20 odd years of typography and graphic design in general. How anyone with a pirate copy of photoshop and a pc fancies themselves a designer... which is why 125 other graphic artist were out of work in SanDiego CA back in 2007.
  
So these are what I feel is the best representations of the larger body of work... what, that's not a good enough answer... oh, you want to know about the Transsexual/Hermaphroditic side. Well one of the main reason I can give you is It's because it seems to me, it's like some "Super Taboo" so it made sense at the time....

besides if Marilyn Manson doesn't make you think Transsexual what the hell does?
